API Base Domain Change

Prepare for the upcoming breaking change by changing your API's base domain name.

Avicenna API hosting services will be taken offline temporarily on August 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM UTC for scheduled maintanence and breaking changes.

To allow for more efficient future expansion, we'll be no longer using the avicenna.dev domain name for user API hosting. Instead, we'll be switching to either avicennaapi.com or avicenna.run (vote for your preference in our Discord server).

How to Prepare

We'll be announcing the selected new domain name shortly, after which you'll be able to prepare for migrating to a new base URL for all of your API's endpoints.

The new base domain will be available starting on August 17, but a temporary redirect will be created for your old base URL. Note that the redirect is not guarenteed to be as fast or stable as the actual URL, and we recommend switching your URLs immediately after the change.

Your new base URL will be displayed on your Avicenna dashboard's home page. Your subdomain will remain intact, with only the base domain name changing. For example atlas.avicenna.dev will become atlas.avicenna.run.

We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but we're confident this change will lead to improved hosting stability and room for expansion in the future! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out via our Discord server or by emailing help@avicenna.dev.
